Blog #2 of blogging when I'm supposed to! Woot!
I'm still finding my groove, but I think I have some ideas, so that's good.
Recent events: I had a minor math-related injury at the gym. I miscalculated the weights on a barbell and then I dropped it because it was too heavy. Really, I just scraped my knuckles a bit because I use good form and safety blocks on equipment so even if the barbell falls, it won't take me down with it. I actually finished my workout before dealing with it all.
I just visited my sister yesterday, and we went out to the Public Market (which was less local than I usually like) and to see Brave (so adorable and Merida is fabulous, go see it!) and then had some dinner. I wasn't great during dinner, but we hadn't eaten much all day so I think it balanced.
Now for basics.
Exercise: rocks. I have to up the running this week because I have a 5K in two weeks and I intend to set a personal record. Weights feel good and I'm less sore, which only means it's time to up the numbers again!
Food: mostly good, though I still get off track and have peanut butter instead of a fruit/veggie smoothie sometimes, so I can't do that this week. I'm getting local eggs from a friend this week, yay!
Sleep: I have gotten some ideas and I have some ideas, and I'm going to test a few this week and report back. I let myself sleep way in today, but yesterday was so tiring AND we were woken up at 1:30 in the morning because my neighbors decided to roll in on ATVs. No, seriously. That happened.
Other: My music stuff is going great, and I love my new karaoke joint. I made a real mint julep yesterday with mint from my container garden and it was awesome. I have a lot of little green tomatoes and can't wait for big, real tomatoes! I've also started a celery sprout from my last celery stalk, so we'll see how that grows. Plans for this week: make to do lists and stick with them! Eat what I *should* be eating and not what I *want* to eat. Run, fast.
