FIND YOUR CATASTROPHIC CARBS

Y'all - fighting the 'Beast' as Ruby calls it -
i know only too well - being a chubby child - but i have said if 'charts and insurance actuaries ' had not been out there - we all may have grown up a little differently - meaning all of us who were 'labelled' fat, overweight, obese etc.
anyway - i digress - for me i found out as a teen that many foods made me feel bad. as the years went on and i researched, read everything i could find, took my training and finally degree in naturopathic diet regimes and ran a business counselling obese and morbidly obese patients, i came to a startling conclusion. one that applies to so many of us.
EVEN NATURAL GOOD FOOD - untouched by processing etc - can make or keep you heavy - and render losing those pounds virtually impossible.
it has been over 30 years that i completely cut out white flour and processed foods from my diet. on the rare occasion i am 'stuck' having to eat any - i take very little - but i still see within 6 - 8 hours afterwards- i have that unwell feeling. it will take another 48 hours for my system to normalize itself again.
the slightest thing can be sabatoging your efforts.
we have all heard that we should journal, make food diaries, record how we feel - and it might seem to be a big pain - but believe me it is worth your time and effort. eventually you will know (if you already do not and those of us seasoned veterans do) what to stay away from altogether, what we may have occasionally and what the best is for us daily.
i can handle leafy greens - but i cannot handle whole grains. i try to stick with gluten free, veggie wraps - that type of 'bread product'. i cannot readily eat beets or peas - (i love them) - i blow up like a balloon -
try your best to NOT USE THE SALT SHAKER - i love salt - after a serious sinus operation left me no taste - it is the only thing i can taste - but alas - you might see me flying over your house like the HINDENBURG should i indulge!!
fruits - be very aware - a good rule of thumb - eat what keeps you in a good PH balance - your body like alkaline and runs well - cancers hate that as do many inflammatory diseases (witness us with RA and Fibro).
stay away from all that will place you in an acidic state - COFFEE is a huge one. artificial sweeteners - GOD help us - don't dare to ingest them please.
there are so many books out there - as well as the net - do your research and be every so diligent. you alone will get to know your ups and downs - and that affect how the scale goes for you too.
but more importantly - you will live a happier life - i am off to slay the CARB DRAGONS - have a wonderful Sunday.

I probable would feel better if i cut some things out of my diet. I do not have the strength or want to cut things out of my diet. I give you credit for being able to do it for yourself.
