I've been catching up on some much needed sleep.

One thing I've learned over the past is when my body says rest, don't question it...just do it!
But on the other side of my rest was busyness. I've had a few home inspections because after we adopted my niece, we decided to keep our home open to foster other children.
I finished knitting a scarf for my son's girlfriend. She's going back to Norway and I hear it's pretty cold there.
On my birthday/anniversary we all went to a Japanese Hibachi. I had a blast. The chef was awesome but I was the only one at the table who couldn't catch food in her mouth. I was so worried about it hitting me in the eyes, that I kept them closed. My son booed me.

Hubby bought me my first EVER birthday cake. But he didn't invite anyone over to join in the celebration so no one sang to me.
Hubby and I went to see Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer...LOVED IT!!! I was uncertain about this one at first but I caught a sneak preview on tv and I'm so glad I went to see it. I promised Kina I would take her to see Brave. I'm glad we didn't go on opening day, the line was extremely long and I'm sure some shows sold out.
Hubby and I finally set up my gazebo and lounge chairs on our deck. I'll take some pics later and post them after I add the finishing touches. I found a double hammock at BJs warehouse that I'll pick up sometime this week. My 20 year old, the one without the filter, made a snide comment that the hammock wouldn't be able to hold both of us. He needs a good smack! I'm not sure if I want to smack him because he's such a smart-a$$ or because he speaks the truth.
Kina is enjoying summer camp as much as I'm enjoying my days of solitude. This week I will start spending my days at the lake and the beach. Hubby is still trying to make the pool sparkle as he doesn't seem to know when he is beat. I guess I'll have to make a secret phone call to the pool guy when he's at work. When hubby comes home the next morning, the pool will be perfect. Then he can celebrate his victory.
My mother-in-law noticed that I haven't been walking much. So have my friends Cannie and Dee. I'm glad that you are all in my corner. My M-I-L tried to get me out for a walk last night but I really did have other plans. I had to pick the kids up from Six Flags Great Adventure. But she and I have a standing date this evening with no excuses.
This morning I'll be walking at least an hour at the flea market and tonight at least another hour at the promenade. It won't be a stroll either. My M-I-L is a power walker and you better keep up!
Well, that's all folks! Make today great.
