I constantly have to remind myself that my weight loss journey it isn't always about the number on the scale. We are on a healthy lifestyle journey for the rest of our lives. What we do for ourselves today will impact on our lives as we get older.
Today I was able to get back on the Precor Adaption Motion Trainer Machine. The last time I was on the piece of equipment I ended up in the emergency room from knee pain. I since had my knee replaced and today I did 30 minutes on that machine. I had been afraid to go on it again so today I concord that fear.
I also worked out on an indoor rowing machine. The last time I did the rowing machine I was about 60 pounds heavier. I could only do about a few minutes before I had to stop because I was so out of breath. Today I did 15 minutes without stopping and AFTER I did the Precor machine. I could have even kept going some more!
The most amazing victory today though was one someone I know asked me to help them on their weight loss journey. I am going to meet with her tomorrow. I am both nervous and excited. She finds me inspiring. Despite my being made a SP motivator I still am taken aback when someone finds me inspiring. In fact, someone a few weeks ago told me I was "their hero".
Weight loss victories are not always based on number on the scale. Victories come in many ways if you are open to seeing them.
