Mum, can I have a lollipop....

Saturday, June 23, 2012

... you know, the plaintive cry from the 'starving' child who "never" gets a treat ...

Pip: "Mum, can I have a lollipop for morning tea"?

Me: "Nope, but you can have a mandarin"

Pip: "YAY"! She was far more excited about this than the lollipop request "Alex, Alex! Mum says we can have a mandarin for morning tea"

Alexandra: "YAY"

Well, we must be doing something right here emoticon

Those are the satisfying moments when you're sure you're doing it right. Aren't they great? emoticon I love when my kids tell other kids, "No my mom doesn't give me a lot of candy; I get fruit instead, and that's better."
