I've battled bad skin all my life, or at least since I was 8. I've never had any luck with anything, but a friend recently told me that a good exfoliation was all it took for her, and her pores became less clogged and her breakouts fewer. I can't believe it didn't occur to me... It was definitely a "DUH" moment!
Since money is tight here, I decided to do some online sleuthing for DIY fixes. I don't really like facial scrubs, so I thought I'd come up with nil. And then I found a list of household ingredients that could be combined to create a mild chemical peel! So, off the list I chose four items and mixed them all together.
I chose 4 aspirin tablets, crushed
2 cherries (I squished the juice out of them)
the juice of 3 lime wedges, and
sugar until it was thick enough to put a thin layer on my face
I will update tomorrow on how it worked!
It worked well. I left it on for 15 minutes, and my skin came out fresh and bright.
