We went on a beautiful 7-day cruise to Canada and New England. The scenery was breathtaking and being on the water always makes me happy. However, I wasn't able to get my veggie juice or smoothies on the cruise, and bringing my own juicer isn't an option. Despite that, I was able to eat plenty of vegetables and fruit by being extemely careful at meal times. I brought my protein powder for breakfast and added cranberry juice to it, instead of my normal berries. At lunch there were lots of salad options, and cooked veggies, along with fruit for dessert. The vegetarian options were not exciting at dinner, except for the great soups. I was able to get veggies and entree salads so that I could forego the meat. There was a lot of functional exercise built into the vacation, and I was able to swim every day. Amazingly, I had a good time, and came home to a scale that showed no weight gain. I didn't lose, but maintaining over vacation was a happy alternative. This is the first time I have gone on vacation and a cruise without a weight gain, so I am happy dancing all over the place.
