Ambulating!

Friday, June 22, 2012

I just had to start over with my weight. I'm really struggling with my blood sugar and keeping it under control.

However, I am feeling better physically after starting with the physical therapy. Thank you, Chris and Tammy at Sports Medicine Clinic. I can hardly believe how well I'm ambulating. emoticon AND it actually feels good! Before, I was flinching and scrunching up my face with every attempted step. emoticon

So, I guess the ups and downs are that I'm moving much better, emoticon even though my weight is higher. I'm sure I wouldn't be feeling this well if it weren't for all my SP friends.

Kudos for all the encouragement! emoticon emoticon emoticon

  Renie,

We have something in common except for diabetes. Physical therapy has helped so much that I have slowly started exercising.

I feel so much better and glad you do too.

Happy to hear the good news. Your weight should be secondary to getting well and being able to move smoothly again. Keep up the great work...and scrunch up your face once in a while (in PT) so they know that you're working hard!

I am so glad to hear you're doing better after PT - yay, team!! As for the weight gain, nobody EVER loses weight without trouble and then stays there forever - there are ALWAYS challenges, detours, speed bumps and even a few 'flat tires' along the road to health so the important thing is to get back on track as soon as you can, which you are doing - yay, Renie!!

Yippee you Renie.... PT is wonderful.
I am glad you are able to move more freely and recognizing your feeling better. KUDOS and extra kudos to you.
the weight will go away as you move more, it's just a temporary blip, a small speed bump.
Be kind to yourself

You get the gold star for the day! So glad to hear that walking is easier for you with the physical therapy. Good news! Once you're able to get moving @ full steam the weight will cooperate. It's hard.

Hugs, sweetie. Hang in there.

When I received my cortisone injections, I discovered both times that they caused my blood sugar to go way up. To fight that I started having salads late in the day. Not too many calories and a fair amount of fiber. It has helped considerably!

It is great to be able to get around better!!!

Sorry about the blood sugar :(( Hope you can find a way to rein it in. Small meals throughout the day is said to be a good plan..
I am so glad physio is helping you. I can't stress how much those guys would keep me moving and kept me out of a wheelchair! There is nothing else like them -better than drugs!!
I hope you have continued improvement and have a good weekend!!

So glad you are doing better. Blood sugar is so hard to control. Since I've gone wheat free and low carb, I no longer have a problem. Plus, I feel so much better.

Hope you get it under control soon!
