Vacation - Day Seven and a book recommendation

Friday, June 22, 2012

Today is our final full day here in the Finger Lakes and I think we're just gong to take it easy. We've been going and going...one adventure after another. Tomorrow is the long drive home so it's probably best if we rest up. It's been a great week.

So for that book recommendation...no, it's not 50 shades of grey...my sister was reading that and said that the first few sex scenarios were intriguing but then it got old. LOL My book is called A Year with Eleanor by Noelle Hancock. It's about overcoming fears...like public speaking ( a huge fear for me) and other fears like death (Noelle spent a few days shadowing a funeral director) and more adventurous fears like flying a puddle jumper plane and skydiving. It's an easy read, Enjoy.

My mother-in-law recently asked me if I was reading 50 Shades of Grey! I said no, then she asked me if I wanted to borrow her copy. Talk about awkward.... but I politely declined her offer.

Have you read the Nicholas Spark's book - I think (30 DAys With My Brother)....they buy tickets to tour the world in 30 days... amazing......hit all the high spots and give vivid descriptions so you really feel like you were there with them...

I honestly don't see the appeal of 50 Shades... There is a waiting list a mile long at the Library for it. I have been reading books like it since I have been in High School... I recommend Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty Trilogy if you want a sexy read... just saying..

Thanks for the book recommendation. I am always looking for new things to read.

Sounds like an awesome vacation! Glad you enjoyed yourself!
