Day Three of Juice Fast

Friday, June 22, 2012

I was a pound lighter this morning. I don't have the same enthusiasm I had last year when I tried this. I have to admit that I am more motivated by weight loss than I am by the health benefits of juicing. I think we are just going to go for a week, and then have another look. We had fallen fairly far from the path lately, and were eating and drinking a lot of things that we shouldn't.

Juicing has changed completely what we eat. We seldom eat beef, pork, anything with flour or sugar or pasta. Notice the word seldom. Seldom was slowly changing to more and more often with the exception of beef. I have lost my interest in red meat. That is why we jumped on the juice wagon to reboot the system. It sure does help doing this with someone in the same house. We motivate each other and when one feels like giving in or not walking, the other one is there to help out.

It is a beautiful morning and I am going to get ready and go for my walk.

On to day three.

The fact that you are losing weight sounds good. I can easily understand the 4 pounds coming off all at once, as sometimes it takes your body a day to catch up.
And yes, putting all those liquids into your body does make for a lot of trips to the
    bathroom. lol

I think the idea of staying on it a week is a good idea (but no longer). Juice actually has a lot of calories, more than just eating the whole fruit -- but I do realize there are the benefits there too. Be careful when you start back on the solid food, that's where most people louse up, because your body isn't used to it.

Again good luck, and happy this is working for you.

Way to go buddy! Even if you're not as enthused as the last time, you're still doing it. That says a lot.

    Here's to a successful fast.

And congrats on the weight loss too.
