well its all over?

Thursday, June 21, 2012

Well I went to the dermatologist's this morning got there a bit early as my appt wasn't until 9:30 - they called me in at 9:20 and I saw the Dr and shook hands after a couple of mins he left and then the nurse explained what was going to happen (I don't know if it was a combination of trepidation and tiredness but I know I didn't hear it all). They then had me sit in the CHAIR. It was a weird contraption kinds like a cross between an armless tray-less articulating dentist chair and a physio table. I then had what felt were about 6 or 7 injections of Xylocaine. It was a weird thing to find a sensation of a FROZEN TOOTH in ones scalp!! All I mostly felt then was the pressure as they proceeded to excise the unwelcome guest from its cranial confines. I went home and am now experiencing all the attendant "pleasures" associated with having ones scalp resected and sown together avec le plaisir of (rapidly) wearing off anaesthetic to wit- I am now keenly aware of the interaction between the movement of certain body parts and or bodily functions and MY SCALP (it LETS me know IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS). I now know or am learning -NOT to open my mouth too far or for too long (perhaps THIS will keep me from over eating) Also even leaning forwards HURTS like the dickens!! I am now aware that certain facial expressions/ mouth/ facial/ eye movements HURT. (I am so waiting to sneeze or cough NOT). I am hoping today is a bit better.
