F*** that scale!

I weighed my self at the YMCA on Tuesday. 180.00! Just like the doctor's office scale a couple of weeks ago. My scale at home is off by three and a half pounds! Way more than I thought I weighed. I don't think I touched 180 nine months pregnant back when I was ready to deliver my baby. That really got me depressed for a while. But the scale at home is what I've got and the trend is what matters not the number.

I read someone's blog here today about scale obsession. Along with today's community email about non-scale victories. That's what I need to pay attention to- nonscale victories.

    Yep, as long as you are staying in your calorie range daily, the scale results are not important. You are going to fluctuate up and down a few pounds no matter what.

    I so agree - it is not the number on the scale that is the be all and end all.

Are you feeling healthier, are your clothes fitting you better etc - They are all milestones on your journey.

The other day I walked farther than I had in years and wasn't tired - didn't ache - wasn't panting - isn't that more important than the number on the scale?
