I once read that we should not treat our bodies as a trash can. I too often do this. However, I am a believer that if you completely deny yourself the craving could get worse. So if I want McDonald's, I just make a healthy choice such as a snack wrap.

Don't beat yourself up, just try to stayp on track and make wise decisions!

Beating yourself up will get you no where... and could lead to more poor choices. Take a deep breath... I think downsizing is the best. I was surprised when I lost weight years ago that I really am full with a happy meal. my mind wants to supersize.... but my body didn't really need it. Next time. go small... I know I have a really hard time ordering a salad at McDonalds... but with a happy meal you get a taste of all the things you like but in Kid size.... and the kids get an extra prize.... I too lead a very busy life... eating out is SO much easier... but so costly in the pocketbook and for your health. Just keep that in mind and if you go out one or two less times per week your making changes!

Slow and steady wins the race!!! HANG IN THERE MY FRIEND!

Try to avoid McDonald's or if you can't make the best choices you can (check the nutrition on their site - somethings you think are low cal can be a lot higher than what may think).

Try substituion - if you always ate the double burger try get the regular instead - instead of fries get a side of salad. Or get the smaller fries with a salad. If it is for lunch make sure dinner is lower in calories - or vice versa. Incorporate the calories into your range.

You will find with time the urges to eat these foods will go away or at least reduced dramatically. You have to remember it is a lifestyle change - not a diet so you will always have temptation you just have to learn to make them fit into the new lifestyle.

Stop being frustrated and be easier on yourself. Mcdonald's is not the enemy. If you go to McDonalds and order a wrap or a salad it's ok. It's the choices you make. Teach your daughter that because McDonald's will always be here. You are setting a great example to your daughter by showing her that you don't give up. You will reach your goals just be patient and know that you are doing the best you can.

i agree with him. Plan ahead of time and dont beat yourself up what is done is done. But if you do need fast food look for something healthier to eat. Im trying to help my daughter lose weight too so I know how it is.

Just say NO to McDonald's! Plan ahead and you will be able to do it. If you must eat fast food look around on the SP site for the data you need to make a wise choice. I often tell people that I lost 40 pounds in part because my wife is willing to cook delicious, nutritious meals for me.
Don't beat yourself up about the past. Those calories have already been eaten. Plan for a successful future. You can do it.
