PT test, 3 and a half mile walk, and Day 3 of Insanity. Yes, I did it all!

As I mentioned in my status today, I found out early this morning that I would be having a PT test today. I wasn't sure if it would be the "mini-test" as I call it, or the full two min, two min, two mile. I got very lucky though and it ended up being the "mini" which I haven't taken yet.

For those of you who don't know, instead of the basic two-minute push-ups, two-minute sit-ups, and a two mile, I had to do 3 push-ups in 1 minute (I can typically do 25 in 60 seconds), 17 sit ups in 1 minute, and 1 mile in 10:30. Because there were so many future soldiers taking the test today SSG Foranda stopped us at the minimum required push-ups and sit-ups in the interest of saving time, but GUESS WHAT?! I totally kicked ass at the run! Despite having really sore muscles from the past few days' workouts, I completed my mile in 9:28!!!

I thought that I had been going really slowly, and as I reached the finish line I could hear SSG Foranda calling out the seconds...19....20....21... and I really believed that I was at 10 min, so I sprinted to avoid not passing my test, and when he called 9:28, I was so THRILLED!!!! I beat the required time by 1 minute and 2 seconds. That's huge!!! Just to clarify how important this was to me, let me tell you that I had to pass this test in order to ship off to Basic! Yes, I would have gotten more chances to pass it if I failed, but I passed on my first try, and no longer have to worry about it.

I then walked home from the track, which is about a mile and a half, showered, got dressed and walked to my husbands company, another mile, so that I could get our car and go pick up Hunter. Then, once I got back home I found out Joe would be working late, so I gave Hunter his dinner, packed up the stroller, drove back to my husband's work, and walked home. I did this so that I wouldn't have to put Hunter to bed at 8 and then have to get him up again whenever Joe called for me to come give him a ride home.

Once I got home, I gave Hunter a bottle, and put him to bed. Then, even with a slightly sore body, I completed Day 3 of Insanity without quitting. I'm absolutely drained!!!!

Today, I am Wonder Woman!!!

  Yes you truly are a wonder woman.... and its nice to see Hunter growing so fats and so well... hes gotten so big and it seems so fast but we know it isn't; but boy are you really doing the Insanity exercise? ... you got to be kidding!
