More strength training than cardio....REALLY??

I have ALWAYS done more cardio than ST. I have just never enjoyed or wanted to do ST. I have only ever enjoyed (even if only mildly) cardio. Walking primarily but I was in Marching Band in High School and I LOVED that cardio. I used to enjoy riding my bike (need a helmet to start again - at least if my kids see me) and I used to mildly enjoy playing around in the pool (hated the water in my eyes/over my head). I have NEVER wanted anything to do with ST, ever. No weights, no bodyweight training. No pushups, no pullups, no crunches, nothing even remotely related to ST.

Since I've been "back on the wagon" about all I have enjoyed or made time for is ST....abductions, adductions, calf raises, calf rolling, crunches, lying single leg extensions, bridges, reverse crunches, resistance band videos, etc. I don't know whats going on! It feels so good to do ST....especially the past 10 days or so. I even find myself doing calf raises or wall push-ups at work or while on the phone.

I mean I'm certainly not complaining, but really - me doing ST without being forced to do so????
