Well, it's a sad household here today. 9 y.o. was going to have her first birthday party and almost everyone has RSVP'd with they can't come. DD had a bowling alley booked, luckily she was able to get mostly out of that. But needless to say, g.d is very upset. She has gone to justa bout everyone's party all year, and do you know how much a gift is expected at each one... Very disappointing.
I had my interview and only 2 people were interviewed this time.. .. am I doing something wrong? they specifically asked me something traumatic that happened in the past 2 years and how I dealt with it. Of course, it had to be that other job. Anyway, it was only a .1 job, not a full time job. I missed the point where they asked if this was on the path to my life goals... because I should have said the life/family/health balance and working part time would have been great. Well, it was a pleasant interview and they wished me a great weekend and like they say at the Academy Awards, at Least I was nominated for an interview... and he did have the decency to call me back and tell me he hired the other person. I asked for constructive critism and he said I need more recent references and that I didn't have the experience with older kids..and I should have researched more and had more questions...so I got some feedback anyway.
SIL was expecting a separate cheque today for his commissions and they added it onto his regular cheque and thus govt got over 40% of it, so they are both upset and not enough money came in again. I definitely shouldn't be gambling... I bet on my older dd and lost big time and now looks like the same thing here...
Well, I bought sushi for supper and am going to read a book to try to get out of this negative feelings I am surrounded by. I did walk a fair bit today and got my bloodwork and my laundry done, so I have to stop tomorrow and get my wheel nuts re-torqued before I leave on my trip. Also, I am going to meet an old friend for coffee when I get there, so some good things to look forward to.,
