Getting back to being serious!

While I tend to spend more time online when I'm making the effort to exercise and track my food, I don't get on the scale as much when I'm not staying on plan.
Now I notice more overhang around my waistline in my clothes which accounts for the extra weight, only 3 pounds, but it all seems to be around my waist. Others think as they watch me eat at lunches that I'm being so good. They don't see what I eat at night. A friend mentioned that night hunger could be a sign I need sleep. Since I get 8 hours, I didn't think that could be it. Now I'm trying to get ready for bed and have a book to read that I will enjoy, turn off the tv and get in bed.
When I've been on vacation or celebrating some event, I've been letting myself indulge. Then I miss the tasty dishes later and tend to indulge while eating out more often. Now I have tennis elbow, I think from some exercise I tried a month ago, and that has really caused problems and I'm not able to lift weights with my left arm, so I've cut my strength time.
Add a little stress, and then it doesn't take long to gain it back. Last night I exercised, tried some SP exercises that I saved on my spark favorites, so then I got ready for bed and turned off the tv. I hope to be able to go to my wine tasting event tonight and not come home and indulge. My friends know how to drink and eat in moderation. I still need to learn. Right now I'm not able to keep too many snacks around, but yesterday I did eat some early and managed to stop before 7pm. That's a first for me.
I've joined the CATS team again, which has helped me stay in maintenance before, but this time, I need to connect more with the other CATS, so I will introduce myself and be more active. Busy fingers on the blogs and team chats should help. I really want to lost this last 5 pounds and keep it off. I need my social outings and I need to learn to eat in moderation. Now I'm off to drink a cup of water before breakfast and then exercise.
Thanks to my SP friends for helping me get motivated this week. Ann
