Losing again...

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

I'm SO happy that the scales are going down and my desire to eat healthfully and moderately and exercise faithfully are increasing daily. I've lost 3.2#'s in the last 3 weeks and I'm SO tickled! One of my SparkFriends suggested drawing a 'paper graph' and hanging it on the fridge. I have to say that it's QUITE motivating to see that line going in the right direction! emoticon

Last night I put away all my fall/winter/spring stuff and took out my summer clothes. I was DREADING trying on stuff since I'd gained since last summer; however, it wasn't as painful as I was thinking. I still have many capris and shorts that fit! WHEW! There are some favorites that are too tight--but it's just motivating me further to get these pounds off!

THANK YOU for all your support! Maybe by my 2 year SparkVersary, I will be down a couple more pounds. Right now my BMI is 25.7. Four more pounds to be in the normal BMI again. I'd REALLY like to do that before July 12th which is 22 days away. Do you think that's reasonable? 4 pounds in 3 weeks? I think I'll go for it! emoticon

Just so I'll NEVER forget!

Have a GREAT day
P.S. I've decided that one of my trigger foods is ice cream so I'm trying to keep it out of the house. However, I LOVE McDonald's ice cream cones at only 150 calories and 4 grams of fat, and will probably indulge once a week. Well, yesterday I tried their 'dipped in chocolate' cones, and figured it wouldn't add that much to the calories--our McD's didn't have the nutritional info on it yet. I came home and discovered that the LITTLE bit of chocolate added a WHOPPING 180 calories to the cone! Live and learn--I opt for the plain vanilla and saving all those calories!

emoticon emoticon emoticon You look soooo different! Good going, you will make it. Love all your photos/

    Ice cream is my downfall to! This has been a hectic week and I am not doing very well emoticon Had folks in for 3 nights to eat. They are my kids and planting corn & something else to feed the deer. Well we live 1/4 mile from home made ice cream store, and wouldn't you know they go 2 half gallons. We ate one and they left the 2nd to tempt me and drive me crazy, and its working;

Missed my first online class on Monday due to company, I really needed it. Can't get into ThinWithin forum so will have my daughter come over and help me get it figured out.

So glad for you, keep up the good work emoticon

you are doing a great job. Keep it up.

Ice cream is my weakness too. I started making my own with greek yogurt and frozen fruit, and some low cal sweetner. It was really good and satisifed my cravings.

    Your pictures are impressive.

Glad you still have summer clothes you feel comfortable wearing. Keep up good eating and movement habits. It's more important what you weigh six months from now that what you weigh in a few weeks, meaning whatever you lose, you need to keep off, so take your time to learn habits you'll keep beyond July 12.

4 more pounds in 3 weeks is definitely reasonable... 1-2 pounds a week. Sustainable.

I'm looking forward to saying the same thing.

While I'm technically within my original goal range, I have sampled life about 5 lbs less and I liked it there, and I'm trying to go back.

Congratulations on being on the right track again, dear friend. I'll actually be joining you with this next 5% challenge as I attempt to regain my 5-lb cushion. Whether it be a number on a scale moved slow and steady or an improved fit in an outfit, it's all a victory. It's a tough road to travel, but travel we must in order to achieve the success we desire. Love who you are right now (not in a selfish way, of course) and you'll praise God even greater for the love you're able to show God, others, and yourself later. While this is a priority, you have your ultimate priority of quality relationships working an extra blessing and reward from God that will put the cherry (so to speak) on the top!

Whatever amount of weight you lose, it's a loss. Slow and steady really does win this race.
