Day Nine

Yesterday I posted a drawing that I've been working on and finally finished. God is not pleased when we neglect the gifts He gives (Luke 19:12-27) , so this is another goal I have...to work on my gift as an artist. So far, I have met my goals to drink my water and to work on artwork, but the food thing is not happening till I have $$ to go grocery shopping! I checked out a few aerobic exercise videos and tried one out, but I don't see myself hopping around in my living room! I used to run in high school, and might take that up again, but building the endurance in the heat is SOOO hard. I like swimming, but no free facilities in our area so it's hard to do that without $$. Guess for now I'll just walk around the neighborhood.

  Very true. I used to do WeightWatchers and could walk 3.5 miles in about 20 minutes or so, but stopped. I can still walk pretty fast though, and the 5K group here has an outline to follow to get to the place where I can actually run in a 5K. Can you believe that in high school I could run a 6 minute mile!!? I would like to be able to do that again. I think I will! emoticon

    Walking is great exercise! and it is pleasant too!

You can still make wise choices about food, eat less carbs, more protein, smaller portions, there are ways to do this even with a pantry full of ice cream!! The hard part is the will power to say NO to all the stuff that we want to stuff in our mouth!
