Good Morning, everyone! So, apparently I REALLY have been SLACKIN' 'cuz I haven't blogged in like three weeks!! That is just craziness, and it has to stop, it just has to! I've been on here and posted a few things here and there, but not really any time to do much.
Well, let's see, what has gone on since last time...my fifth grade daughter is now a sixth grader! She graduated on the fifth. She was one out of 87 kids who started the school out back in 2006, and completed every year :) How did they put that? "The first graduating class that completed all six years at New Berlin Elementary". How proud was I? Well, maybe not THAT proud, since little miss-miss did not make it on the Honor Roll like her mommy did every quarter in elementary school. But, that's okay, 'cuz she brought her grades up, no D's this quarter (hooray for small victories!)
We are busy in Girl Scouts, too, we are combining my troops with another troop. We are going to have Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors together, but there are separate leaders and co-leaders for each level. My youngest daughter and the daughter of the Daisy leader are best friends, so that's good :) And, the Brownie leader is the co-leader of the Daisies this year (not my troop, the other one). So, I've got the Juniors. I think it will be fun :) The girls are supposedly more independent at that age, and we are going to do a TON of stuff! Two actual meetings per month, one field trip on our regular scheduled meeting time, and one other trip or community servce on Saturday. I would like to have seasonal "camp outs", as well. Maybe not sleep over every time, but an entire day out in the woods, teaching them how to do things for themselves and that they do not need gadgets! As much as I hate it, that might include ~shudder~ fishing. I've already gotten my license (for the last camping trip) so why not use it lol.
Well, I have to get back to work. I'll keep everyone updated on the progress of our combining the troops and our bridging ceremony planned for the last weekend of the month. It's going to be awesome!!
