TRAM Training--Week 2, Day 2

Good ride today, 36 miles of rolling hills. It was hot and humid so that slowed me down a bit, as did the wet conditions on the bike path I took for about 14 miles, but all in all it still went well and I came in at 17.5 mph. Last year I hit 18.5 on this route but my Achilles has been a bit tender and I don't want to re-injure it so it was best to take it easy.
Tomorrow, a 28 mile course with seven longer climbs. Not too long, about 1.0-1.5 miles each, but it's the best I can do in this area! I came in at 17.4 on this route last year so 17.0 would be perfectly acceptable to me. We'll see how I feel, and how the Achilles is doing, and then take it from there.
For now, I'm off to work for the glory of God! "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31).
