Surviving and Thriving

It is my belief that there are no mistakes in life, for the seeds I sow in my mind yield the crops I harvest in my life. Put another way, Henry Ford once said, "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right". It is in this simple concept that lies the secret to self empowerment. If it is never my fault, I will always be a victim; if I accept my role in whatever my current experience, then I accept my ability, and obligation, to grow from it in a positive direction.
I have learned to look not with my eyes, but an open mind, and there I find that which I never knew I could dream before. From those ethereal visions, rise the fodder for a new crop of images and destinations. I nurture them with the same care as I give to those I love, for it is through this continuous cycle of growth that I am able to give more than I already have.
I've discovered that when my thoughts are dominated by the poor judgements I have made in the past, I am destined to repeat them. When I focus on my accomplishments, however, I move forward with the confidence that my new convictions are already achievements waiting to be fulfilled. I welcome this pursuit, as it is the difference between kismet and karma, reacting and mastering, surviving and thriving.
