Well, I'm not afraid to tell you that when I got the email this morning that I had won 3RD place in the weight loss challenge, I almost jumped on my desk and shouted!! But the percentage of weight seemed a bit low 4.69%. So I asked our health representative how she figured it out (because frankly, I thought I've been giving myself way too much credit if this figure is correct)
She responded that she made an error in her calcuation and I actually lost 5.83% -- 2nd PLACE!! However, our Human Resource department is reluctant to amend the email because she said the 2nd place and 3rd place prize money is the same.
If it were you - would you push the issue? Does it make a difference to you? I'm really not sure how I feel about it. If I let this go, would this be another time I took a back seat? I don't want to diminish the accomplishments of my co-worker who had the 2nd place finish, but is this the time where I push to the front. Usually not my style but neither is sticking to a healthy lifestyle, exercising everyday, making me important every day.
