I've been struggling for a long time now!!! I'm really trying to get this thing right and get it right NOW!!! For me I think I've tried it all when it comes to diets!!! First I think my first mistake is calling it a diet!!! Im wondering, what's the best way for me to get going??? Should I start out with the calorie counting OR should I just try the "cold turkey" way and just try to do everything right at once???? (the eating clean with nothing but clean foods and exercise) Now I am working out and I have been trying to eat close to clean but with holidays and all things hadn't worked out for the best with me! Today I put me first and everything else will have to follow..... emoticon emoticon

    a diet is a diet, no matter what you call it. I see lots of people on "a lifestyle change" whom are just dieting - the results are the same - long term weight gain.

Have you thought about giving up dieting all together? Just start making better choices for your health, ie start drinking water, or learn some new nutritious meals etc

    Just start using the tracker and counting your calories. I was surprised that I can still have some of my "cheat" foods as long as I count it. emoticon

    Cold turkey sounds rough and you are probably more likely to gain that weight back. When I started I decided no diet for me. I use SP's food tracker and eat well (I always have-kinda) and watch my portions. Portions is what will hurt. Who knew a portion of spaghetti noodles was so small? That was my problem. Now that I have been eating better and less than I used to I noticed I feel fuller faster and don't worry as much on portion control since I can't eat that much anymore anyways! lol.

But definitely follow the tracker, eat cleaner but still enjoy the good stuff from time to time (If you are a chocolate lover try Skinny Cow's Truffle ice cream bars... SO good! and only 100 calories!) and work out. If you use the trackers on here you WILL lose weight. I started 3.5 months ago and have lost 19 pounds.
