The name littlebjanet comes from a purse "business" I had with my daughter. My name "little" and her name Brenda made the business name little b. We started sewing purses about 7 years ago after my son Tim graduated from high school. He said I needed something to fill the void his absence would make! I turned his bedroom into my sewing room.

My daughter and I visited my mother every August, and she would have a project for us. That year Mom shared a tote bag pattern she found. Brenda and I decided to turn them into handbags and have made hundreds since then. Over the years, Brenda has more children and less time, so it became my business. I was really very busy for a while. The knee replacements, economy, and my lack of "sales abilities" eventually stopped the purse parties. Now it's mostly orders from someone who previously bought one. This is the tote bag I just made for a bridal shower gift. It uses the bride's colors and will be filled with special goodies for the bride to use on her wedding day.

Thanks for the interest and the compliments, SparkFriends.

Yes PJ, I have a couple posted in my photo album. You would not believe how much fabric I have! YIKES.

This one is pretty big, Nan, and I call it a tote, but our business name was little b handbags. It is too big to be a purse, even in the USA! I would like to see your bag when you finish. Can you post one on your page?
