3 months off = weight back on

I've been in a funk for the past 3 months and haven't been doing SparkPeople and all the stuff that I know works. I'm up somewhere between 10 to 15 lbs. So today I'm trying to re-commit. Let's see how I do. Look for me and please send me words of encouragement.

    I have been there, starting over again, so many times. My husband pointed out to me that even though I messed up and spent time not keeping up with healthy habits, just one day of doing a better job was a success. And then one day after that, and then one day after that, etc. Just take it one day at a time. You can do this! emoticon

    3 years ago i really worked on it and lost some weight. over the past 2 years, i have only been making half attempts and have put on 15lbs. it started as just a few at a time. but this year i have noticed that i have been still eating mindlessly.

    Take Charge! emoticon emoticon Replace soda with tea and stevia or make lemonade with fresh lemon juice and water. Sweeten with stevia or splenda. You can do this at a restaurant also by simply requesting extra lemon. I'm finding that they will provide more lemons when you simply ask. Add more veggies and fruits. I start up with fajitas by adding extra veggies to my 3 oz of chicken. I'm loving OIKOS greek yogurt which gives me more protein since I was not aware of protein benefits and I'm sure to get 75 grams daily. Post yourself refrigerator notes with inspirational quotes so that when you head for the refrigerator, or you are simply in the kitchen, the reminders are there to support your journey.

    Start back slowly, don't try to jump right back into everything-start with more water, less or no soda, 10 minutes of exercise. You can do this!!!!

    Similar with me too, but related to a stressful job (and work situation). Any "set back" is an opportunity to assess where you are. Take it each day as it comes. I support your re-commitment.
