Day 149 Accountability

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Saturday --

It was in the 90's and humid today. We are desparatly in need of rain. It's lightning and thundering now. I hope it produces rain, and not just a light/sound show!

I got in 0.38 miles of swim laps today in 25 minutes. I have a couple of months to keep improving. The triathlon has a 1/2 mile race. It's going to take some hard work and perseverence on the swim part.

emoticon1 - Exercise - 25 minutes lap/tri training.
emoticon2 - Calories - 2,035. Dessert at Dad's at lunch, and then again with Harry at dinner.
emoticon3 - Sleep - 5.5 hours plus a 2 hour nap with Harry this afternoon. Spark curfew - 11pm.
emoticon4 - Freggies - 2 fruit, 6 veggies.

June 2012 accountability goals --
1 - Exercise at least 30 minutes per day. Per the book, "Younger Next Year," I am going to shoot for 6 days a week of exercise - 2 days of weight training (I'm taking a weight training class) and 4 days of aerobic exercise, mostly biking and swimming.
2 - Track my food and limit my calories to less than 1700 per day. Goal weight is 145 pounds by end of June, so cutting back on calories this month.
3 - Sleep 6+ hours per night. Stop Sparking by 10pm. The number of hours that I sleep is directly related to how late I am Sparking/Facebooking. I've been having a hard time making curfew the last few months. I'm cutting it back to 10pm this month. If I can keep the internet curfew discipline, my sleep will fall in line.
4 - Eat 1 fruit and 4 veggies per day.

Great work on the swimming Nancy! I raced at Pleasant Prairie, and I remember the swim well. It looks different all in one line rather that 30 pool lengths stacked up. You will be great, and I'm so excited that you are going for it. Create your plan and stick with it. How do you like your new tri suit??

You are doing great! We need rain too; I was digging to set plants yesterday and went down 12" , bone dry all the way! This was in an area I ran the hose on for an hour on Thursday; it's so dry, watering is not helping. Even with watering if we don't get rain soon my gardens will suffer. "Feels" like rain today, but so often it's been going around us! Be well!
BTW, sometimes I actually do eat dessert first; or "instead of".
