Woke up to low hanging clouds and thunder.

My sister rarely gets away from us. So as she headed off to the big city today, mother and I prepared to go to the old house to mow. Now when I say mow, I mean MAJOR MOW. We have three cleared acres of five. But thanks to modern technology, I can zip around and get it done in about 3 hours. After about 2 acres, I ran out of gas - literally. I don't know why I try to do the whole yard without a whole tank. Sometimes I mow really quickly thinking mowing faster will make the gas last longer. False!

Any way my mowing technique reminds me of how I approach life. I zip around trying to get something done rather than preparing in advance and taking my own sweet time. Like the day I rushed off without a prepared breakfast only to have to eat something available but inadequate.

Rain threatened all day but I finished and parked the mower with a sense of accomplishment.

God bless and eat well!

Very brilliant blog! I can really relate as I rush as well. Thanks for this helpful reminder that we all need to slow down and plan as we care for ourselves. emoticon emoticon emoticon
