getting back on the wagon
Saturday, June 16, 2012
Between my 3 business trips in the last month, and a week with a nasty cough and cold, one might say I have fallen off the wagon. But, I let this happen!! (Not the getting sick part....but being derailed from working out by my job....UGH!). I could sit here and get pretty frustrated with myself, but that won't do any good. I can't go back and change the last 3 weeks. All I can do is move forward in the right direction. I know exactly what I need to do.
In other news, my cat was diagnosed a couple of months ago with hyperthyroidism. She's 12 years old and has a small build and has always been very slender. At her highest weight, she was only 9lbs. Well, she got down to under 7lbs! She looked terrible. After taking her meds twice a day, I am happy to report she's gained almost a lb. and her blood test was good! I am shocked at how much this was stressing me out!! Imagine if I had children!
My stepson is here this weekend for Father's Day. He's a grown up now - 24 - and he lives and works about 3 hours away, so we don't see that much of him anymore. But he called my husband and said he wanted to come this weekend so they could play golf together. So that's what they're off doing now. My husband is thrilled!
I need to pull together a plan for the second half of June. My original June goal of 1400 fitness minutes is not realistic now, but I need to set a new goal and develop a plan to get there. I'll be back with that plan tomorrow.
EDIT: Revised June goal - 1100 fitness minutes. That means 725 minutes between now and month end. Off to the gym!!
