WOOT! I'm back into the 140's - weighed in today at 149.6. Yes, I say back into. I was in the 140's in December of 2010. But I had double foot surgeries that month and ended up frost-biting 3 toes from bandages that were too constricting and then over-icing them trying to reduce the swelling. After that, I had a downward (or should I say upward) spiral of emotional and stress eating. I wasn't able to work out for almost 6 months which added to the 17 pound weight gain. I was in danger of losing the middle toe on my right foot. By the grace of God, I didn't lose any toes - as you can see in the photo. I don't know how my scale calculates fat %. The fat calculating machine that I use at the health club says that I'm 26.4%, and I choose to believe that one! I'm 5'9" and my BMI is 22.
Harry had his appointment with his internist this afternoon. He got a good report and is healing well. What he didn't get was a release to drive. The internist said it's not his place to release him to drive - it's the surgeon's call. I suspected that, based on things the internist said on Harry's release from the hospital. The internist kept deferring to the surgeon then. Harry asked if the doc could at least release him to drive to the grocery store. The doc said, "no way!" He's bummed, but Tuesday will be here before he knows it - that's when he sees his surgeon.
I forgot to share yesterday's exciting news! My physical therapist gave me her blessing to do the Pleasant Prairie, WI triathlon in August. In fact, she said that if I do it, she would consider doing it with me. I told her that I was thinking of doing the super sprint race - 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike ride, 3K run. She felt that I should be able to do the regular sprint - 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and 5K run. She knows my goal and said that my therapy will be geared toward that race. AND, my tri suit arrived in the mail today, so I'm psyched!

1 - Exercise - 20 minute walk with Harry; 23 minutes lap swimming to prepare for my tri. I've said it before, swimming doesn't come naturally to me. This will be the hardest part of the tri for me.

2 - Calories - 1,597.

3 - Sleep - 6.5 hours plus a 2 hour nap with Harry this afternoon. Spark curfew - 11pm.

4 - Freggies - 2 fruit, 5 veggies.
June 2012 accountability goals --
1 - Exercise at least 30 minutes per day. Per the book, "Younger Next Year," I am going to shoot for 6 days a week of exercise - 2 days of weight training (I'm taking a weight training class) and 4 days of aerobic exercise, mostly biking and swimming.
2 - Track my food and limit my calories to less than 1700 per day. Goal weight is 145 pounds by end of June, so cutting back on calories this month.
3 - Sleep 6+ hours per night. Stop Sparking by 10pm. The number of hours that I sleep is directly related to how late I am Sparking/Facebooking. I've been having a hard time making curfew the last few months. I'm cutting it back to 10pm this month. If I can keep the internet curfew discipline, my sleep will fall in line.
4 - Eat 1 fruit and 4 veggies per day.
