Neon decorations for pontoon boat on July 4th?

Friday, June 15, 2012

Hi folks,
I am dragging from a day with 20 month old Zai. A wonderful #4 GD came to baby sit while I mostly observed. She is a blessing.

Well #3 and #4 gd's are discussing decorating the pontoon boat for 4th of July parade. I told them they could decide the the theme and decorations. So it is neon. How in the world does that fit? And How in the world to decorate? Please give us ideas........

I've seen some neon type cloths that the colors leap out in the daylight. Swim suits for the children on the boat?

A friend told me to do neon beach balls and fun things kids like. There are neon boards that the kids can write things on. New to me. Since it will be light out, lights won't work. Painted fireworks might? Fish? 50's and peace symbol?

I will have to submit to the kids pretty soon.

I love the paint idea in the hot sun, but better adjust that....

One idea I have is neon plastic tablecloths and cut. Top is blue for spacious skies. Then yellow for waves of grain. Then angled purple mountain majesties. ??Green for fruited plains... Then blue for sea to shining sea... Just a thought . Don't know how to implement or to communicate it to shore and judges???

Neon would be florescent lights, don't know how you would do that. Unless you would let them paint the pontoon with bright paint, lol. Is there a way for them to use the small white Christmas lights? with maybe silver and colored tinsel of some sort. Maybe drape it with bright plastic tablecloths you can get at the dollar stores. You will have to take pictures of the finished project and post them in another blog.
