Whew, I'm glad tomorrow is Friday!

Thursday, June 14, 2012

This week overall has been such a roller coaster, I'm ready for it to be over! From being depressed beyond belief, to losing another 3 pounds to get past 30 total lost this morning, it's just been from one extreme to another!!

I'm really excited about the scale this week. This is the first time in a very long time it has gone down 2 weeks in a row. Usually it is 1 week up, 1 week down. So that was quite exciting for me this morning (plus it's period week, so I was totally expecting a gain). I can't lie though, I'm terrified of next week. I just have this horrible dread that it will go up a LOT, although there is no basis for that, except that I've gone down 2 weeks, so now it must go up, right? :-P

This morning I decided to try the 7 am mass at that catholic church by my work. We were out by 7:20!! I only wish the Sunday mass went by so quickly!! The priest was like a frickin auctioneer, I had trouble just keeping up with what he was saying! :-P It was a different experience for sure, I'm glad I went, I may go more often now. :-)

For my walk at 1:30 today, I decided to truck down to the new Lunds (a local grocery store) that opened downtown today. It's SUPER nice!!! They had all kinds of samples out, and I tried this amazing cheese and some roast turkey, and a little piece of pork chop that was AMAZING! They also have a separate liquor store that I ran into in search of the beer I had in France all the time, but they didn't have it. :-( They did have a couple of really cool things though. The cooler for the beer is a walk-in, so that felt really nice haha. The other thing that I had never seen before was a whole wall of single bottles and cans of beer. You could create your own 6 pack for $10! I love the idea that if you and your friends or SO like different beer, instead of buying 2-4 different 6 packs, you can buy one of each or 3 of each or whatever.

So that was a good walk...I had to use different muscles for it because it had rained and the ground was all wet. It was also a longer walk than I expected, taking about 18-19 mins each way. Well for some reason, the tops of my thighs HURT. I may take the day off from my walk tomorrow so they can rest! We'll have to see how I feel tomorrow.

Anywho, it's game and basketball time with Keenan (GO HEAT!) so I'll see all you lovelies tomorrow!!! emoticon

Our local grocery store chain does that with bottles! They don't do it with cans, though. But the neat thing is, the only bottles they have on the create-your-own wall are smaller breweries, independants, imports, etc. IT's awesome for if you want to try a bunch of new stuff and don't want to commit to a full 6-pak. They also let you make a 6-pak of wine for like 20% off. I haven't done that in a looong time though!

I love the places that let you create your own 6 pack. I wish more places had that. I also like when they have smaller bottles of wine that you can do that with because it makes it easier to use for cooking! emoticon

Glad you got to shake up the muscle groups with walking in the wetness. It was pouring the one time today I would have had a chance to go, so I sat and graded some papers. Frees me up to do more this weekend!
