Last week I bought a .. latex stretchy fitness band thing.. I dunno the name of it, but!
It came with a DVD, and it was a 40 minute one. Yesterday I attempted the Bob Harper dvd on strength training and after 10 minutes started coughing so much I could not continue. I decided to do Jillian Michaels yoga and I could only manage the warm up! haha.. Talk about unfit.... Talk about a body made of pudding!! haha.
Anyway.. I was pleased I could put 15 mins on the tracker here at Spark People
when boyfriend got home, I showed him the Bob Harper dvd, he loved it and wanted to do it :D
We did the beginners one, of 20 mins ( I swear it felt like 40!!!!) It involved weights and stepping around and push ups, and I had a 1kg set that I don't use, and I gave boyfriend my 3kg set (he usually lifts 10kgs) so let's just say we did it REALLY easy - AND WE WERE WHIMPERING and collapsing and yelling.. It was so painful - Especially holding the half push up.. Oh...
I FEEL very very sincerely for the people on biggest loser haha.
Then after that I think I must have caught the bug cos I did the ENTIRE 40 min pilates / with stretch band dvd - And I felt sore and awesome after that.
Needless to say, I am having trouble walking today... but that is 1 hour and 15 mins.. I have _never_ done that much exercise inside the house before! :D
Boyfriend suggested burgers and chips for dinner, no way was I going to work that hard and undo it, So I got sushi. I was starving, which was unusual.. hehe.
I am still struggling with my food planning - basically I skip lunch and breakfast, it's an issue. and I'm still way too low on calories... But I bought a steamer last week also, so I can have steamed veges =] - Maybe it would be a good idea to make some winter vege tartlets, freeze them up and use one at lunch with a salad.
I hurt mostly in the backs of my legs, where Bob made me do lunging. haha.. I really really liked what he said on it... because it was about not making any more excuses and working out every day from now on... I don't quite wish he was my REAL life trainer.. lol.. but for now, this is working great!
I'm proud of myself :)
