Had a GREAT lesson on Turtle Tuesday

Thursday, June 14, 2012

yay emoticon

So we are trying to get him to move in a 'dressage' frame, bring his nose down below his eyeballs. This is what he does when he says 'no, don't wanna'

Sorry it's small, but you get the idea...
and this is what we are trying for

Neither of these horse are actually Turtle.

So we didn't want to just work on frame as we don't want him to get sour so we did some cantering. I have only gotten him on his 'right' lead once. Last December. emoticon
So I was taught a trick to help him pick up his right lead and he did it! TWICE. Well he also bucked the second time, but my velcro is still good! Over all he was really good. So glad my BF said to keep doing the lessons even though we have the loser renter issue...

Speaking of which, I got the CC of the letter he sent. Wow, I don't want to be the recipient of that type of letter!

My BF is working out of town for a few days. He called his morning to tell me how much he loved me. awww emoticon emoticon

Going to the dentist later... icky. but it needs to be done.

I want to own that horse! Good job sticking to the training, it is a hard task. Sorry for loser renters; hope you get a speedy resolution.

I don't know much about horses - other than I like them quite a bit. I can ride OK. Turtle sounds like a fun horse.

Thanks, Bruce

wow, i'd love to own that black horse emoticon

i was just thinking about riding lessons when i saw your blog....lol. my horse tore a tendon in february and it will take til november or so to heal, so, i can only think about lessons not actually do them.

people keep offering me horses to ride, but, i find my horse takes up just as much time whether he's lame or not. i have to entertain him after all.

enjoy your lessons. emoticon
