Today I woke with the intention of going for a run and then walking the remainder of my one hour workout time. The weather was perfect...not too hot and just cool enough to feel great while I ran. I told myself to do at least three miles of running and then see how I felt. As I was completing the first mile, I decided to go ahead and try to five miles. This is not something I have ever done, but I felt great! Mile four was just fine, so began mile five. Believe it or not, I really couldn't, I finished mile five with energy to spare. I would have continued just to see how far I could have gone, but it was 8:45 and church began at 9:00.
I was pretty excited that I was able to accomplish this goal. Had it been as hot as it was last week, it would not have happened. Maybe someday I will go for six miles!
