I'm not much of a sweater when I exercise. In fact I hate it. (goes back to high school trauma)
Instead I'm more of a walker. Or at least I used to be. I used to walk between 10-15,000 steps a day.
I bought Adidas shoes about a year ago and royally screwed my legs up. Within a week of buying them I could barely walk 20 feet without excruciating pain going up the back of my legs.
I went for numerous chiro treatments and accupuncture and we realized that the problem was the shoes and the way they made me walk. So I gave them to a friend of mine - and sadly she reported the same thing but luckily didn't suffer permanent damage. We just tossed them in the garbage so no one else would suffer.
But sadly buying a new pair of shoes didn't help. A year later and I'm still trying to recover from the original injury to my legs. My soleus muscle is constantly cramped and my hamstring could be on a violin.
So I thought I'd try yoga. Well....I'm clearly not a bendy person anymore. So I bought the DVD Yoga for Inflexible People.
While I am not nearly as flexible or graceful as the instructors (imagine the 3 Stooges doing Yoga and you have the picture), I'm determined to keep going. I want to walk again. It's a new world out there and I mean to explore it.
