Removing obstacles

Well, since my last post wherein I confessed to having slipped in my efforts to maintain my previous fitness goals, I have done a complete turnaround. Here are some of the things that helped make the change:

I read:

Infinite Possibilities by Mike Dooley

Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrman, M.D.

I started chanting the mantra Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha (Removing of Obstacles) with Deva Premal on Youtube:

I am running three times a week and strength training three times week.

I have diminished considerably my intake of flour, sugar and caffeine.

Since doing the above, I can't express how much better I feel. It's as if a building was lifted from my body. My thinking is clearer and my disposition more positive. I am more active and committed in my efforts to achieve my goals.

I will keep you posted on how I progress as I work to achieve goal I set for myself last year to run a marathon this year. As it turns out, my having taken such a lengthy break has caused me to have to move the marathon date to February 2013. It's good to confront that now and to share that goal with Sparkpeople.
