Getting back to normal!

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Hello my fellow Sparklers, For those of you that have been sharing in my trials & tribulations with my non-existent exercise regimen, the bittersweet victory of my Mom taking her last Chemotherapy Treatment today, she got to wear a blue crown by the way, & she is in good spirits....Lung Cancer is no joke but I know that by the grace of the Almighty God, she has beat Cancer! Thanks you guys and gals for praying for she and I and we will in turn be praying for you all! Now that she will be recovering from her very last Chemotherapy Treatment...I have no excuses other than to get back in shape. Unfortunately, I gained all of my weight back from emotional eating, being lazy both mentally and physically, & watching way too much television, not getting out much at all! My birthday is coming up June 17th, Father's Day, and I have nothing planned, although my Mom will need my help on that day, I could at least have a plan, you know? If anyone have any suggestions about how I can get back to eating healthy, which seemed to be my downfall in the past (unhealthy eating that is), I am more than just listening to the advice, I'm taking mental notes, which in turn manifests to physical activity! Wish me the best Sparklers! emoticon

I am taking a class called Experiencing God - one of our assignments this week is to take a walk with God. Praying as you go - thanking Him and expressing your love for Him. Maybe you could take a half hour walk and try a walk with God. I haven't done it yet. I always want cake and ice cream for my Birthday but maybe for a treat you could go out for an ice cream - so there won't be any in the house - or take two to your mom's with you and celebrate together.

Have a great Birthday!

Baby steps! Try eating at least one healthy meal a day, snack on fresh veggies, drink lots of water, try to take 10 minute walk or exercise minutes a couple of times a day.
Take care of yourself and you will be more able to help your mom when she needs it! Good luck!
