When Really Good Meets Not So Bad

I had a touch of insomnia last night. Woke up around 1:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. Oddly enough, I did some heavy cleaning, read for a while, and then had the best epiphany of the week. Knowing I would be exhausted come daybreak, I knew it would be a day best started with a trip to Starbucks for an Iced Soy Mocha - not a totally bad thing, all things considered. But the thought came to me that I could add my protein powder to my soy mocha (particularly since I use soymilk anyway) and create just the right combination breakfast to jumpstart my day.
While waiting for my favorite barista to finish making my mocha, I just had to share that concept with her...and I promised to share the results as well.
So I arrived at work, plugged in the blender, poured in my mocha, added my Shakeology (chocolate of course) and a bit of chia seed. It was better than I expected and just the right combination treat to get my day started on the right note.
Occasionally my insomnia serves a greater purpose. Thankfully this was one of those times.
