Chest:49
Waist: 52
Hips: 53
Right Mid-Thigh: 31
Left Mid -Thigh: 30.5
Right Upper Arm: 17
Left upper Arm: 16

Day 5 Measurements:
Weight: 269.5
Chest:48
Waist: 51
Hips: 52
Right Mid-Thigh: 29
Left Mid -Thigh: 29.5
Right Upper Arm: 17
Left upper Arm: 17.5

I don't know if I measured my arms correctly or not, so I'll just stick with this until next time. I've noticed that recently I'm not being satsified with food, I'm continuously hungry. Like last night I ate 3 cups of cabbage and my tomato turkey patty, I had to eat a fiber one bar to level my hunger out. This morning I had to add 2 more cups of grapes just to ease the edge off. (Sounds like an addict, but then again I am a food addict so it fits well). Maybe I need more complex carbs. I've been trying to get all may carbs from fruits and veggies, I eat more brown/ wild rice. Or it could be the big girl calling out that she's starving and wants a hamburger or a hotdog...lol. What I know for sure is.... 5 days down and 5 more to go! WOO HOO!

Fruit is the equivalent of sugar. It will spike your sugar, then when your sugar level drops you will be hungry. Have a few almonds. Make a protein shake when hungry. It takes time and effort which is good. I make one with milk or almond milk, yogurt, frozen fruit, and a scoop of hemp protein powder. It is very satisfying.
After I push myself out in the garden and I need replenishment, I make a protein shake.
Buy berries at this time of the year and freeze by laying on a cookie sheet. Then pop into a freezer bag. The berries are loose so easy to use a few in a shake.
Plus check the menu plans for a balanced diet and portion size.
I am losing now because I am outside gardening instead of inside eating.

I agree about the fruit not sticking with you for a long time. I've been making steel cut oats at night so they are ready to heat up quickly in the morning. I am all about the quick and easy breakfast. I pre-measure a little brown sugar and some chopped almonds so I can mix it in without thinking about it. Mornings are not my favorite time of day. emoticon

    Good job!

On the hunger thing, maybe try more whole grains. I don't think eating more fruit will stave off the hunger for long. You need something that's going to stick with you. Instant grits or Coco Wheats are two things I eat to help keep me feeling full.

Grits is my new go to because it's less calories than the Coco Wheats. One serving is only 130 calories and even if I add a little brown sugar it's not bad. I have it with some fruit and it keeps me full. Even oatmeal is a good choice. I'm moving away from the instant flavored packets or I will mix with plain instant oats. There is also a weight control kind that is more filling.

Keep up the good work! emoticon
