Working Out the Brain and the Body

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

I'm on the road to better health and my AKBD! My flashcards arrived in the mail today so I have been flipping through them trying to think of a fun way to work them into my nightly work out. There are a TON of flash cards too, and I will have to be able to answer all of them to pass the test.

I don't want to use exercise as a punishment but when I am thinking of fun ways to work them into my routine I keep coming up with some sort of exercise when I get the answer wrong (which would be a lot right now!) I could have a YAY FUN exercise for every time I get an answer right and an OH SH*T exercise for every time I get one wrong.

On another note, my daughter really doesn't like carrots at all!! I even made carrot cookies. They turned out really fluffy like a heavy cake almost. I broke one up into little tiny bite size pieces, more like crumbs, for her. She loved it, however she also would pull the carrot slivers out of her mouth and put it back on the tray. *sigh* she is going to have to love carrots because that is one of hubby and my favorite veggies. We add carrots to everything. In fact we are out now, I used them all in the cookies, and it is just odd.

Oh my the time, how it flies!! I best be off to bed! I have several kitchen layouts to finish up in the morning along with some countertop quotes to get done. G'night good world!!

Hey Alaska, here's a thought on adding carrots for your daughter: puree them. You can't pull out the slivers if they are pureed. They'll also be less noticeable! :D
