Holding Steady

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

I'm doing ok with the food...but have broken down a bit and started eating 2 slices of Ezekiel bread each day for dinner. I've also had more than one indiscretion aka burrito...darn those late nights and no-food days. I haven't lost any more weight, but still holding steady. I have also found that relying too heavily on sugar-free chocolates to help with an occasional sweet-tooth is not a good thing...is everything a gateway food for me????
On that note, though, only 12 hours stand between me and real life...I can't wait to start getting a paycheck so I can buy good, healthy food. I'm stoked for my 4-day work weeks, too. That will leave plenty of time to keep the house in order, cook and exercise.

Can't wait!

Yay wont be long now! I know what you mean about the sugar free stuff not helping. At least with sugar free you can have a lot. But it doesn't always do the trick.

Hi Eddy! I've been thinking about you, as you could tell from my email. Soon you will get a surprise...

I do not do well with sugar free chocolates or most other sugar free or low fat sweets because they lead me right back onto sweets! One thing that does not seem to get me into trouble is when I suck on a sugar free hard candy. It doesn't give me that whole mouth experience that eating other sweets would do. For me, the chocolates and cookies, etc., give me a certain crunch or feeling or sound, and then it's bad choices ahead!!!

I've been back off sweets for a little over a week. I can't believe how many times I have to keep restarting this!!!

Anyway, I hope work goes great!

No one ever got anywhere expecting perfection of themselves. Give yourself a break. You're doing great!
