Old pictures of a thinner me

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Found these while going through photo albums. I'm going to use them to make a motivational poster. Thought I'd share some of the pics now...

First, me in 1996, on my high school graduation day. No idea of my weight at the time. The sweatshirt is my dad's, and as you can see, was huge on me. I now have one of his sweatshirts and it fits.

Next, 1997 before prom (my bf at the time was a senior). Again, no idea of my weight. I hate my hair, lol, but I think I look good otherwise.

The next two are from 1999, just randomly taken shots. At the time, I thought I looked terrible. But from where I am now, back then I looked great.

This is me at my wedding in 2003 (Yes, I was married. Please don't ask.) I was 168 lbs. Again, at that time I felt horribly fat, but since it was 40 lbs lighter than now, I looked pretty damn good.

This is me last year at about 187 lbs. I had lost 30 lbs from my highest weight.

And this is me now, at 208 lbs., only 10 lbs away from my highest weight ever.

This is the progression of my weight gain...Hopefully someday soon I can start showing the progression of my weight loss.

I used to look at old photos and think, UGHHHH what did I do to myself?!? But right now I am smaller than I ever can remember and its all through living healthier and taking care of myself and I can't imagine the ppl even in my old pics. If you adopt the new eating and tracking and exercise on a regular basis. Your healthy weight will just emerge, I promise.

Ah me Erin, I have some photos like these... I ran from 150 up to 187 down to 160 and back up to 215.
Every decade a different size and weight. YOU need to look at you now and say I am healthy, I feel good, I can move, and then say, but I want to be smaller.

Easier said than done... You are starting a new journey and may it be permanent. I plan on my lifestyle change being permanent this time. No more wandering decades of weight.
We can make it...

Someday, not too far away from today, you will! We will be here to rejoice with you and snoopy dance all over the place with you! You are a beautiful person, Erin. You are a pretty lady as you are right now; when you are fitter you are going to be feeling that beauty you possess. I wish I had a magic wand to make you feel it right now, because you ARE a person of worth, value, and beauty!
