Great weekend, a busy week, and a weight/fitness update

We had a great weekend this weekend. Lots of family time, a few kid activities, some relaxation. The fitness highlight was going canoeing. I've never canoed. My kids have never been on a boat that isn't motorized (egads, how did we let that happen?) so they've never canoed either. DH had though so he had to teach us all. We paddled around a large reservoir and it was FUN. My daughter is dying to try a paddleboat now so I'm sure we'll do that soon. And they rent stand up paddle boards there which is something I REALLY, REALLY want to do so that will be happening this summer too. After canoeing we had a nice healthy picnic and my daughter fished until she caught a fish :-) This is how I want this family spending family time - out DOING things, not sitting around eating and drinking, not watching TV or movies or hanging out on line. I haven't gone so far as to resolve to do something every weekend but I'd really like to.
This week is just crazy with end of year meetings and activities. My days are open and routine but my afternoons and evenings - woo! - nuts. Just 5 1/2 more days of school though. I am so ready for summer! Just need to get through the rest of school!
Weight is A-OK. Right below my comfy spot and edging downward ever so slowly. That's just perfect as far as I'm concerned. I splurged and had pizza and beer Saturday, weight shot up, cleaned up a bit Sunday, went back to normal eating yesterday, and weight went right back down. Really happy that, with the return of grilling weather, eating well is just plain easy and that I seem to be able to splurge and recover in short order.
Fitness is A-OK, as well. I'm taking this whole week off from running to give my achilles a chance to recover. Haven't had a drop of pain since the last time I ran (a week ago). I'm enjoying subbing in the elliptical for a bit. It's easy and mindless but intense. This is my last week on the first set of workouts from my trainer. I need to type up the second set and set up a meeting with him to change up my lower body workout (or else just dig one up from somewhere.). Enjoying centergy very much. I have gotten flexible enough to do stick pose and lay right on my legs. That is freaky bizarre given where I started from and just the kind of thing that reminds me just how far I've come... and makes me smile.
