Life gets crazy, but keeping it together is most important!

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

This last week I have not been able to blog or track since my days and nights have literally ran together! I get time to take a few breathes and then I am off and running again! I was getting up at 6:30am and going to bed around 12:30-2am. I was not getting enough sleep and this week I am feeling the effects of it! In all that craziness last week I still managed to lose almost 1 lb! It used to bother me that I wasn't dropping several pounds at a time, but now I am glad the number is going down and not up! Even in the weeks that have been rough and I would turn to food I have found ways out of the food monster!
This week my goal is to get back to tracking ALL my food again. I also need to get back to running! I am planning on running a 5k Fourth of July weekend out by my parents summer place in Wisconsin! :) I haven't ran a 5k since St. Patrick's Day just because I haven't found one to fit into my schedule! 4th of July I spend that time with my parents so I thought I could take a little time out for myself!
I feel renewed actually after last week! It might be because I made it through the week without gaining weight. I made good choices in what I ate even though I didn't track I still tried to be as good as possible. I laugh now when I think of last week when my husband made dinner and he said why aren't you eating buns with any of our meals at night... chicken sandwich or burgers or sausage. He said did you give up bread? I answered "Nope! I am trying not to use up my calories on items I don't have to have in order to enjoy my meal." It worked out in the end too!
I will be back this week to share how things are going.... until then have a wonderful day and get out and move!

Well done on not allowing your crazy life get in the way of your journey. I have had one of these mad weeks, with lack of sleep, and not enough time to shop or plan proper meals... lack of sleep makes me hungry and crave the wrong foods. But you did the right thing. You stayed strong, and you lost weight! And you made a plan to get back to running! emoticon

I told my husband the exact same thing...LOL! Now he will say do you think you will have enough calories to have this for dinner today before he decides we are going to eat it. I think that's cute and supportive!! Great job for not allowing your life situations to get in your way! emoticon
