it's monday which always promises challenges - or at the very least an interesting day. today was no exception.
apparently sleeping all 10 hours thurday, friday, and saturday nights meant i was only going to get about 5 hours of good sleep last night. awesome.
still, i got up for bootcamp. terri had a new workout for us - "4 by 4". it was basically four sets of four exercises until terri got tired. thankfully, it was ridonculously hot in the gym and everybody was struggling. i'm fairly certain, even if i'd eaten right all weekend, i'd have died. lol. but it was a great workout.
came home and ate breakfast - a giant bowl of fruit. then it was off to work. 4 sections of calculus in 4 hours.
i know what i'm doing and it still made MY head hurt. i can only imagine how my students feel. we're doing 4 more in 3 hour tomorrow. yaaaaaaaayyyyy summer classes...
after class, i decided to spend the afternoon in a coffee shop doing some spiritual work. this amounted to listening to a podcast i'd missed and reflecting on stuff that had been going on. 3 and a half hours later, i'm happy with the progress i made - even if some of it includes being made more aware of how much MORE work i have to do. good thing one's spiritual journey is never done.
e-mailed my 'findings' to a couple of close friends who've been walking with me on my journey the past few months. i'll be curious to hear/read what they have to say, if they say anything at all.
and then, because i was exhausted after that work, i decided to take the night off... in other words
I DIDN'T GO TO THE GYM
and i'm okay with it. so is tracy. terri doesn't know unless tracy ratted me out or subscribes to my blog lol. instead, i played with the dog, watched some tv, and just relaxed. as soon as i'm done here, i'm going to go read until i fall asleep.
and as i sit here listening to the thunderstorm, i can't help but say again
it's been a GREAT day.
good night y'all.
