Need to make some changes

I went for a run this morning and boy was it hot! I ended up running two miles, then walked/ran another three miles. I think I am needing to bring water along with me on my run now since it is getting hot even in the early morning. Either that or I am going to just have to run in a loop and leave my water somewhere along that route. I was going to run around 7:00, but didn't get out until 8:00 a.m. I guess I am going to have to start earlier as well.

So water and earlier are the changes I need to make, or so I think. Does anybody else make changes like these when it starts getting hotter?

    If it's hot I definately bring water. I have a water belt that carries 4 small bottles, I also have a belt that carries one big bottle. I tend to like the one with the 4 bottles, it doesn't move much and after awhile you don't even feel like you're wearing it.

    I just bought some small ice packs and may try to carry one with me. I also have a "scarf" type thing that you soak in water and the polymer beads inside stay cool.

    I do try to run earlier in the morning in the summer. I bring water and leave it along the route if I'm running more than 6 miles and it's over 70 degrees. I'm not one for lots of water while running but I don't want to risk getting dehydrated.
