I actually adapt quite well to change, but when it comes to eating and weight loss, I am a creature of habit.
On the days that I don't sit down and have my breakfast, I end up grazing for most of the rest of the day -- even though I'm full, or not hungry, I will go rifling through the cupboards, pantry and fridge, looking for something (anything) to devour.
I've known this about myself for a while, but now I think I have to take action and do something about it. It's the only way that I will be able to conquer it.
I haven't really been taking many pictures lately. Here are some of the ones that I did manage to snap.
Rain accumulated on the glass top of my patio table:
Cardinal that visits the garden:
My beautiful poppies that I so look forward to from the moment they wilt away until the next season. Sadly, this year, the plants were crushed down before the flowers opened up, so the patch looks awful. Only the pink ones didn't get crushed.
I told my kids that it's the dog that rolls around on them, and the kids didn't believe me, until I caught him doing it, and called my son to come and watch through the kitchen window. Bugger! Next season, I'm putting a little gate around the patch!
The pinks:
The rolled over patch:
That's it for now. I'm going to grab my book, my camera and my water, and I'm heading out to the deck to do some reading and to soak up some sunshine.
Have a fantastic day!
