Have you ever thought about how things in your life affect you both in a negative and positive way? I am reading a book about how to be a better wife to my husband, which has nothing to do with some of the stuff I seem to be learning. Only God! I guess I am just ready to receive.

I have moved many times in my life and with each move I have gained something. One is always weight which I do not work through until I get settled. I moved 7 years ago and put on 23 pounds with the move. I lost 11 of those pounds last year and then stopped. It is me not exercising and eating right at the same time. I seem to sabotage myself. Change is happening and most of it good in the last year so it is helping me to focus. I have learned I need to focus more on God and less on me.

God has changed my circumstances for a reason and instead of focusing on how unhappy I am about this, I need to embrace this. Pray for those around me, help where I can and most of all enjoy my family. Time with family and friends is always at a premium. Seasons with my children are fleeting and they are not going to care what I weighed.

I am clinging to Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

What has caused your weight gain?
