With lazy being the operational word. Sports heavy, what with a couple of Euro 2012 games, the Tigers game being the free mlb.tv game of the day, and Stanley Cup game 5 and nba ECF game 7 flittering across my TV and computer all day. As might be gleaned, I didn't quite make it to do anything active today. I'll make up for it a bit tomorrow, planning on hitting Reynolds Park for some ultimate in the afternoon. But in the morning, a trip out to the north side Farmers' Market to get some breakfast - the food pantry I volunteer at is putting on a fundraising breakfast. I tried to get a few friends to join me, but it seems like I'm only going to be able to take one person along. Another couple seemed likely to go, until we met for dinner on Friday night, where they pretty much didn't seem at all interested.
Probably didn't help that another breakfast event was taking place this weekend, the annual Dane County Farm Breakfast, hosted by a working farm in Mount Horeb, a few miles south of Madison. I was asked which event I'd rather go to, the farm breakfast or the one that I'd mentioned. I was good, didn't say anything sarcastic like, "Given that I've only been talking about this other event for the past week..." or anything along those lines, but I'll admit to being annoyed. Almost feel like expressing the annoyance, but it's not likely to do any good, so...
Have half a mind to go to the local semi pro soccer team's game tomorrow, which I found out about last weekend from some of the kids I played soccer with that day. Intended to check them out years ago, but never have made it to a game.
In other exciting news, new Rush album out this week, "Clockwork Angels". And next week, new echolyn album...the name of which I'm not exactly sure of. But I'm almost more excited for that disc, even though I claim Rush to be my co-favorite band. Go figure.
